News for Bee Fans — A Rare Look + A Historic Celebration
Hey Insiders,
First things first — I’ve just dropped a brand-new exclusive video just for you. It’s all about how bees are transported from Egypt to Saudi Arabia. This isn’t your typical beekeeping content — we’re talking about putting bees on a plane to cross the border and the incredible logistics behind this high-stakes operation. You’ll see some footage I got access to, showcasing this unique beekeeping craft.
This is the first exclusive video on this platform. Here’s a quick guide to find and watch it: You need to be a Premium newsletter subscriber or an Academy member at the Worker Bee tier or above. If that’s you, simply log in and look for "Inside The Hive TV – Exclusive Videos." Inside, you’ll find the new video — and many more to come from my adventures around the world.
Now, on to something even bigger…
150 Years of Beekeeping in Lancaster County
Next year marks 150 years since the Lancaster County Beekeeping Society was founded. That’s a century and a half of local tradition, skill-sharing, and community built around bees. It’s rare to see a beekeeping society with this kind of legacy — and you can bet we’ll be celebrating it in style.
Please visit their website and check the history tab. There, you'll find a treasure: all the meeting minutes from 1876 and beyond, where you can read what beekeepers were thinking back then.
To honor the occasion, I’ve created a video during my recent visit — the same trip where I gave a talk at their gathering. The energy, the stories, the local pride… it was all buzzing, and I captured it on camera.
